In this composition, I chose an intense red monochromatic atmosphere to amplify emotion, passion and resilience. Red here is not decorative — it is symbolic. It speaks of strength, pain, courage and fire. Frida’s gaze is focused, thoughtful, almost defiant. She is not observed — she confronts.
Through my double-layer stencil technique, I sculpted the facial structure with strong contrasts and sharp highlights. Every detail was digitally designed and manually hand-cut before being applied with spray paint. The precision of the stencil contrasts with the instinctive textured red background, creating a visual tension that defines my artistic language.
The limited color palette reinforces the graphic impact and gives the piece a powerful contemporary presence. It transforms an iconic historical figure into a bold urban statement.
This artwork is an original, one-of-a-kind piece. While the stencil may reappear in future works, each background is unique — ensuring singularity and authenticity.
