August von Mackensen (Anton Ludwig Friedrich August von Mackensen) *December 6, 1849 in Leipnitz +November 8, 1945 in Burghorn was a highly decorated German Field Marshal.
Original autograph: Handwritten and authentically addressed letter envelope from von Mackensen to his wife in Danzig, with a monogram embossed on the back. Sender’s note: General Colonel von Mackensen. Envelope with a violet circular stamp “Commander in Chief East – Relay Service” and arrival stamp Berlin 5.2. 1915.
In addition, as extras a photo postcard with the portrait of Mackensen and a package section from the year 1915 stamped “High Command of the 9th Army” with the address of Mackensen’s wife, written by him personally.
